Therapeutic Approach
Courtney’s approach to providing therapy is person-centered, empathetic, collaborative, and strengths-based. She values creating a strong therapeutic relationship as she respects the vulnerability and trust that it can take for people to seek out and enter into the therapeutic process. She is flexible in her approach, offering what you need based on the space you are in on any given day. She supports those with whom she works through various therapeutic modalities including, but not limited to: elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), art therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), elements of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and elements of internal family systems therapy (IFS). If you’re interested in learning more about these therapy modalities, please visit our services page.
“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.”

About Courtney
I am an avid gardener, plant mom, and overall nature enthusiast. I often find my own self-care in the form of connecting with nature, whether it be through tending to my many (some may say too many) houseplants, digging around in the dirt at my vegetable plot or any other garden I can get my hands into, or simply existing in nature. I also enjoy art making, reading, tea, and human connection.
I graduated from Albertus Magnus College in 2014 with a Master of Arts in Art Therapy. I am a licensed mental health counselor and have worked in a variety of mental health settings including day treatment, inpatient, residential, community-based, and outpatient settings.
